Michael attended college at the University of Texas–PanAmerica, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in accounting while lettering two years on the Broncos baseball team. It was in the Rio Grande Valley that Michael began his career in public accounting in 2005. In 2007, he moved home to Houston, Texas and a short time later began working for HL&B.

Michael has 15 years of experience at HL&B, Michael has provided assurance services to a wide diversity of industries including energy related companies, financial institutions, construction contractors, insurance entities and employee benefit plans. He has worked with small to middle market private and public companies, including extensive assistance with SEC filings.

Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and its Houston Chapter. In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and their two kids. His hobbies include golf and baseball.
