Cindi began her career as a tax adviser in 1985 with Arthur Andersen. In 2002, she and Steve Stevens, a retired Arthur Andersen partner, followed the advice of a long-time client and established their own tax practice. Due to their focus on providing excellent client service, the practice grew by leaps and bounds. In January 2019, they combined their firm with Ham, Langston & Brezina, LLP to provide a more robust offering of services to their clients.

Cindi graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin’s Business Honors Program with a Bachelor of Business Administration.  She also received her Master in Professional Accounting from UT-Austin.  She is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Financial Planner. Over the years, Cindi has been privileged to work with numerous families and their various business and investment entities.  She has extensive knowledge in partnership, individual, trust, and estate tax planning and compliance.

Cindi is married to Vic Matthews.  They have two children, Will and Kit. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Galveston County, Inc. and an active member of the Assistance League of the Bay Area.
